How does Counselling work ?
Most commonly counselling is conducted in weekly face-to-face or online sessions that last 50 mins.
The commitment of both the counsellor and the client to work together at the same time and the same place every week, is the beginning of a relationship of trust, which creates a safe container for the client to start to open up their inner world and explore themselves on a deeper level.
This is facilitated by the therapist who has been trained to hold the space, support the client, offer useful interventions and inspire hope where maybe previously was only darkness.
Clients who undergo this process can drastically increase their self awareness and be thus empowered to shape their lives much more consciously and satisfactorily.

As their relationships with themselves improve, so do other relationships with others at home and at work. Life becomes less stressful and more joyful. This is an overall trend and involves a journey that usually has it's ups and downs and there are no guarantees.
